1vyG Conference

On Saturday, February 17, Amy Gutmann, Penn President, welcomed more than 600 guests in Irvine Auditorium at the 1vyG Conference hosted at Penn, February 16-18. Created by first-generation college students grappling with their own acclimation to college, 1vyG is an attempt to harness the power of first-generation college students to leverage their experience and education to better the world. Launched in 2015, the organization has grown to include students from across the Ivy League and across more than 20 institutions working to improve their campuses for all first-generation college students.
