A Better Chance Awards Luncheon

Amy Gutmann was honored with the Benjamin E. Mays Award at the 2010 A Better Chance Awards Luncheon on May 13, 2010, at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City. The awards luncheon honored leaders who have demonstrated a commitment to promoting diversity and excellence. Also honored was Clarence Otis, Jr. Chairman and CEO of Darden Restaurants, who received the Chairman’s Award.

The over 450 attendees at the luncheon also recognized a group of exceptional 2010 A Better Chance Scholars from around the country. These Scholars ranging from grades 6-12 were awarded for their academic excellence, leadership within their school community, and steadfast determination to succeed.
