Changing the National Conversation: Inclusion and Equity

Penn President Amy Gutmann delivered the keynote address at Changing the National Conversation: Inclusion and Equity. The conference, held on Penn’s campus at the Perry World House and the Levy Conference Center at Penn Law, was organized and co-sponsored by the University of Maryland, College Park, the University of Pennsylvania, and Swarthmore College. This invitational event brought together more than 100 presidents, provosts, and senior administrators from across the country to think strategically about the important work of increasing faculty diversity and excellence and fostering inclusive excellence for the entire campus community.
Keynote addresses were delivered by President Amy Gutmann, University of Pennsylvania; President Ruth J. Simmons, Prairie View A&M University; and Dr. Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Population Health and Health Equity University Professor, University of Pennsylvania.
