Emily Sachs Dance Benefit 2018

Penn President Amy Gutmann attended the 22nd Annual Emily Sachs Dance Benefit, hosted by Penn’s Dance Arts Council on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Iron Gate Theatre.  All twelve Dance Arts Council member groups performed.

This annual collaborative performance is held in memory of Emily Sachs, a member of Arts House Dance Company who died of a severe asthma attack in 1995, just after completing her freshman year at Penn.

This celebration through art brings together hundreds of students and guests (performers and attendees) in an effort to educate the community on the importance of medical research and giving back.

This year, all proceeds go to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Asthma Program.
