Launch of Penn Partnership with USC Shoah Foundation Visual History Archives
On Monday, April 23, 2012, President Amy Gutmann hosted a launch to celebrate the Shoah Foundation Visual History Archives coming to the University of Pennsylvania. This partnership makes Penn the first repository in the state for the Shoah Foundation Institute's collection of nearly 52,000 video testimonies of Holocaust survivors and other witnesses. These testimonies are now available to both the Penn and greater Philadelphia community.
The program included remarks from Penn President Gutmann, Stephen Smith, Executive Director of the USC Shoah Foundation and Beth Wenger, Professor of History and Director of the Jewish Studies Program at Penn.
