LGBT Center 35th Anniversary Celebration and Rededication
October 14, 2017
Amy Gutmann, Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney, and more than 300 students, alumni and faculty gathered to celebrate the LGBT Center’s 35 years at Penn under Founding Director Bob Schoenberg, who officially retired in September. The building was renamed the Robert Schoenberg Carriage House in honor of his retirement. Penn is one of the few universities in the United States to have a building dedicated to LGBT students on campus, and the University has been ranked one of the country’s most LGBT-friendly campuses.
