Penn Medicine CAR-T Conference

Amy Gutmann, Penn President, offered welcoming remarks and introduced keynote speaker Dr. Steven A. Rosenberg at a major conference on the Penn campus, “CAR-T and The Rise of the Cellicon Valley.”  This conference, organized by Carl June and colleagues from across Penn, Penn’s Abramson Cancer Center, and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, brought together leading researchers, clinicians, industry partners, advocates, patients, and family members, to discuss how CAR-T is revolutionizing medicine.  Penn – ranked by Reuters as #4 on the list of the world’s most innovative universities – and Philadelphia are at the center of a global revolution in cellular therapy and transplant.  Penn Medicine is home to six new FDA-approved therapies within just the past two years.
