Penn President Amy Gutmann joined Grace Calhoun, Director of Penn Athletics, to cheer on the Penn Men’s Basketball team as they played Columbia University in their final home game of the season.  Penn won, 85-65, and clinched the fourth seed in the Ivy League Tournament.  Senior A.J. Brodeur became the program’s all-time leader in points – breaking Ernie Beck’s 67 year old record – as well as games played (119) and blocked shots (196).  Dr.’s Gutmann and Calhoun also joined in recognizing the accomplishments of the Men’s Basketball, as well as Penn Band and Penn Cheer, team seniors throughout the evening.  Ernie Beck, W’53, helped head coach Steve Donahue in honoring A.J. Brodeur with a jersey swap for the pre-game Senior Night ceremony.
