Penn President Amy Gutmann spoke to alumni, parents, students and friends in Bangkok bringing a little bit of Penn to Thailand over winter break.  The packed house of over 150 guests, warmly welcomed her, which is indicative of the strength of the Penn community in Thailand.  In her talk, President Gutmann shared the state of our global university and provided a sense of the Penn experience on campus, filling the room with nostalgia and pride.  Penn Trustee, Ramanan Raghavendran ENG’89, W’89, LPS’15, LPS’20, and the Margaret Bond Simon Dean of Nursing, Antonia Villarruel, joined as special guests.  The wonderful leadership of Dr. Vorapol Socatiyanurak G92, GRW92, PAR22, Sally Jutabha Michaels, WG90, PAR19, PAR21, PAR23, and Pimol Srivikorn, C’86, PAR’21 is ensuring the Penn spirit thrives in Thailand.  This was a fantastic evening concluding President Gutmann’s very productive and memorable trip to Thailand.
