Penn President Amy Gutmann and Dean Larry Jameson joined with visionary alumnus Roderick Wong, M’03, on the occasion of the formalization of the PennHealthX gift. The $6 million gift — one of the largest single gifts to support medical education at the Perelman School of Medicine — will endow the Roderick T. Wong PennHealthX Program. Created in 2013 by entrepreneurial Penn Medicine students, PennHealthX explores the intersections of medicine, business, and technology, and has become a valued, nationally recognized enhancer of the school’s curriculum. Wong, the winner of a PSOM Young Alumni Service Award, has been a champion and benefactor for PennHealthX since its inception.
